How do I erase a closed collections from my records?

It is part of your credit history and will fall off about 7 years after closure.

Don't pay CA.  Pay the debt to the original company who you owe debt to.  After you pay them write a letter to CA stating that the account was paid in full and that they can not legally report anymore information on the account.  Also since it wasn't collected by them they have to close and delete the account from your CR
