how do hard credit checks effect you when applying for a mortgage
Told by mortgage companies, that the credit bureau makes exception to mortgage application inquiries and does not penalize for multiple checks. How do they know it's for a mortgage and how do I insure it does not negatively impact my credit?

That's partially true! If you are in the market of buying something and you start allowing different creditors to run you credit; it only counts against your score as "one" pull. However, if you continue to allow different creditors pull your credit over a period of time; then it will cause your score to go down. Good luck my friend!
