First, check all 3 credit reports to make sure only YOUR information is being reported.  Go to annualcreditreport.com to get these.  Look them over very carefully and file a dispute for each erroneous item (not your account, wrong information) with the credit bureau reporting same.  They have to investigate and either verify or delete the disputed item.  Don't even try disputing items that ARE yours but you don't like, such as late payments, garnishments, etc.  If it is something you have or had, it stays until the 7 year drop-off time required under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which is a federal regulation.

Make it a practice to check your reports once a year to make sure all data is correct.

We do not have access to your accounts so cannot see what needs to be fixed, but you can find out some by using the Credit Simulator program on this site.

If you had a bankruptcy, the credit rebuilding phase may not get into action until 10 years after the bankruptcy was filed with the court.  There is noi changing that.

The secured credit card is a major step in rebuilding credit.  You'll have to have a few hundred dollars to start the account and there is a high interest rate but, if you make it a habit to pay the bill in full every month when it is received, you're on your way to a better credit score.

It takes time and effort to rebuild, but it is not hopeless.  I'm doing it right nokw and even little bits of progress are quite redwarding.  Utilize all the tools and information on this site to your benefit.
