Inquiries

Are these soft or hard inquiries? The soft inquiries cannot be seen by a prospective lender or employer, they are for your information only. If you have hard inquiries that you do not recognize, get the address of that company from your credit report and write them a letter and tell them that you never applied for credit with them yet you have a hard inquiry on your credit report and request that they remove them at once.

Go to www.optoutprescreen.com  You can "opt out" for prescreened offers, which prevents potential lenders from doing a soft pull on your credit.
