NEVER try to remove accounts that have been closed in good standing, doing so would cause damage to your credit profile. If they were accounts closed in negative standing, then they will remain for 7 years from the time that the account became delinquent. Sometimes there are ways to remove old negative information, but you would have to reask your question with more specifics on the negative account (no personal info or account numbers, just the status and general info on the negative account.
