First, only you can see what is on this site, and that's good because of the privacy concerns.  But this site has so many interactive programs that can help you to make decisions that WILL work for you.

I've noticed that too many people here have obviously never checked their credit reports to see what's on them.  There will be errors because imperfect humans are doing the data entry.  Go to annualcreditreport.com and get all 3 credit reports.  Look them over very carefully and file disputes on WRONG entries with the credit bureau reporting them.  They then have to investigate and either verify or delete the disputed item.

Make sure you ALWAYS pay bills on time.  Late payments are sure credit score wreckers.

Keep credit card usage at less than 20% and pay the "Total Amount Due" as shown on the credit card statement.  Try to never carry a balance on the cards because you end up paying interest, which is somethng we don't want to do.

Utilize the financial tools on this site to help develop better financial strategies that will improve your score.

Negative remarks will generally drop off your credit reports after 7 years, though bankruptcy takes 10 years (which is one reason I don't recommend it).

Hope this helps.
