having a mortgage and a car loan is enough to boost my credit score? My credit is really bad!

If your credit is below a 620 you shouldn't even consider applying for a mortgage because you will be denied. A car loan you need a co-signer as well unless you want to pay 10% interest which isn't worth it. The way to go about changing your score is to save up $2,000 and then go to your local bank open up a savings account and then USE that $2,000 to take a secured loan for $2,000. What will happen is they will hold your $2,000 make 6 months of payments then pay off loan entirely will need to add an extra $100 to cover 6 months of interest but them your score will go
