Have one account in collections for fradulent reasons.
I joined Fitness Connection a while back because their big selling point was no contracts. After i wanted to cancel they said that I had to send it in writing. This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard and I stopped going without sending anything to the joke of a company. Soon I lost the credit card attached to gym account. The credit card account was canceled and this was out of mind. I received a call from the gym for payment I "owed". I then called the corp office and talked to a lady on several occasions about canceling my account. She refused to do it unless I sent the paper work in. Several months went by and apparently I owe $75 dollars to a collections agency. I called them and they would not budge even though they have many customers swindled by Fitness Connection by their own admission. The amount of money is trivial I grant you, but I WILL NOT pay it. I feel I should not have to. So my question is this: is there a way to remove this or do I have to go to court?
