Hard Inquiries - Buying a House
I recently purchased a house (March) and a new car (June). When we purchased the house, like most people, we shopped around. This was the same story when purchasing my car. I was always under the impression, and I did some research too, that if you buy a house each time someone pulls your credit it will only count as 1 hard hit if it's done within a certain amount of time. Some sites say 15 days, some say 30 or 45. I thought this was true with car loans too.

I have 16 hard hits on my credit. I understand that we also opened up two credit cards to remodel, but when looking back, the 16 looks like it includes every mortgage company and every car finance bank. Does that seem right?

Thanks! :)
