Wow, Lets see if I can decipher that,

First Rule of Thumb; If it involves your credit or anything to do with borrowing money,(BTW Credit Cards ARE just like borrowing cash)  if you provide your social Security Number , Assume it WILL always involve someone looking at your credit report. once provide that number, you basicly have given them permiossion to do Hard Inquiries.

Number 2: NEVER trust a Salesman.  And someone at Quicken loans,"Helping" you with a loan, IS a Salesman.  It's their job to get you to take a loan, so he can get his commision. They don't care weather you really want or need a loan, they Want their commision.

You can contest the hard inquiries at the websites for the Credit bueueas, If you do online disputes, They almost never come off.  Write a letter and your chances are much better.  Google "Dispute Hard Inquiries" for templates of the letter to write.  Always hand write your letters, They can't be read by computers so a human actually has to read it and you get better results.

Yeah it happenes sadly, tho it might say there won't be a hard inquiry and yes it might be true, but only up to certain point during its process, it would trick you in thinking there won't be one, cus it says so in the beginning with large and easy to read prints but towards the end? It would say somewhere on that page if you proceed further? Your credit report will be used/pulled, not manly would pay any attention to those smaller prints at that point. They shot-gunned your apps out to whomever pick it up, much like auto loans. Not sure exactly what you can do at this point especially with those inquiries, you maybe able to unsubscribe from each lenders that contacted you at their website to stop contact you and that might be all you can do.
