Goverment overpayment and tax interception
I have a "debt" that is a government overpayment. By my state's SOL and the SOL that the debt falls under, does a tax garnishment reset the SOL? The payment was involuntary and unknown to me until after the fact. So my questions is, does that payment count towards the SOL. If not, then I am beyond both SOLs.

There is no SOL on recovery of federal refund overpayments. The debt has tok be repaid in full and it will vanish in due time, which is usually no longer than 7 years after the debt is paid.
