There is a lot to this Carmella3797!!

It will always start with getting a copy of your credit reports. From there, is there anything INACCURATE?    Getting inaccuracies removed would be the easiest first step.   After that, how about collections?   How old are they?   Are there any that are older than the 7 1/2 years.  If so, these can be removed.  Any judgments?   Make payments.  Any bankruptcies?  Only time will help.  How many inquiries do you have?  More than 2-3 would be a potential cause for concern.  Some are necessary (new job, needed to buy a car, etc.), but avoid applying for new credit for at least a year if possible.

Hope this helps you.
