Does the late payments on closed accounts affect your credit score?
I have some credit cards that are closed and the last report from the creditors have been over 6 years. Are those affecting my credit score?

Late payments affect your credit scores negatively as long as they are listed. However, there should be very little damage at the six year mark as the damage from late payments subsides as they age. Late payments remain on credit reports for 7 years, so you are nearing that know. Do some reading about "early exclusion". and FYI, never try to remove positive information from your reports, such as closed accounts in good standing.
