Does making payments on a collections account help?
The accounts all medical due to car accident are within a year. I have 13 Collection accounts totaling $445,000+ I have no way to pay this. About all an affor at most $10 on each account, they will laugh at that. So do I just basically let the clock run down for 7 years or do I make very small payments on each account monthly. Will making payments have any impact or is damage already done?

Sorry to hear...

From the standpoint of paying on your debts, every little bit helps.

You won't have to wait 7 years though, all 3 credit bureaus are changing their practices when it comes to reporting medical related debt.  The New York Attorney General sued them and the settlement is forcing these changes. The bureaus have 3 years to implement the changes.

Google for more info.
