Does Credit Karma help in making corrections to my credit report?
Since you people know more about how this whole complicated system works than I do. You should help with making corrections to credit report information.

The purpose of this site is to TEACH people how credit works and how to use it, and the articles plus the financial tools here help a lot.  I have a degree in accounting and did not learn in college as much about credit as I learned here.  Read the articles and utilize the financial tools.  You can make the corrections by getting copies of all three credit reports from annualcreditreport.com.  File disputes with each credit bureau on all WRONG information that shows.  You can usually do this online.  Make it a habit every year so that only the correct information will be reported.

Credit Karma is a free service, keep that in mind. Credit Karma does not make changes to your credit reports, only the credit bureaus can do that. The three credit bureaus are Transunion, Equifax and Experian, they all have websites with contact info, they have areas on their websites where you can dispute incorrect info found on your reports.

Credit Karma has a new feature called Direct Dispute that allows members to dispute incorrect information on their TransUnion credit reports. This feature allows you to contact the bureau directly through our site and allows you to track your progress. We can only assist with certain kinds of disputes, and you will need to file a dispute directly with a credit bureau if we aren't able to assist.
