Helpful to 3 out of 3 people

I did a balance transfer earlier this year and had the balances on 3 credit cards, each with a high interest rate, transferred to a new card with a higher credit limit, lower interest rate and 0% interest for 12 months.  My credit score improved quite a bit.  I did NOT close the other cards so I still have a high amount of "available" credit and the usage has decreased.  I had already been following the advice that is in the articles on this site and had checked things out with the Credit Simulator program here, so that's why I did it.  Still have a couple of negatives on my credit reports that only time will erase, but the gradual improvement is very encouraging.
