Tough question

There's really no way to answer that question generically.  For some it could lower and for some it could raise.  It's really dependent on your overall creidt profile and what information you have reporting.  GENERALLY speaking, it should be positive as long as it is paid on time and in the beginning it may slightly lower due to a new inquiry but that recovers fairly quickly.  It really depends on how much existing credit you have, whether you have a mix of credit, etc.

Credit Karma has a "Credit Score Simulator" that will allow you to "Add a new loan" which will be about as close to a guess as you can get.

Hope that helps,

Joe
