I'm not a BK attourney so can't answer question about the student loan issue.  But yes, you can rebuild your credit after BK.  I've helped my clients get back to a 700+ in less than a year.

It is almost impossible to get rid of student loans through bankruptcy.  You need to consolidate them and get into an income based plan (if they are Federal student loans).  Go to studentloans dot gov and you can do this yourself.  You may end up with a zero monthly payment.
