Do medical collections need to be paid to get a home loan
I have some medical bills in collections do those need to be satisfied to qualify for a home loan

as a rule of thumb,

It's hard to get any kind of loan with anything in colletions. 

If they are fairly recent, they will have to be paid off before you'll be considered. 

If they are old (4 yrs+) you have a good chance at getting them removed with out having to pay.  Read the articles on getting collections removed. I think there are a couple of videos in the blogs as well.
