Do I have to pay the debt after 7 years?
I have recieved an email from Credit Karma that I have a medical debt that has went to collections from 2008 for $90.00. I never recieved a bill or letter or anything stating that I owed. I call Collection service and he gives me a acct#, so I call the hospital and she said that acct# has been closed but I owe $700.00 from 2007, due to a wreck. My Lawyer said all bills will be paid when we settle. So, I called back the collection service and he said the $700.00 been over 7 yrs and it dropped fo my credit. My question is, if it dropped of my credit after 7 yrs do I have still have to pay the hospital or is it done and over with?
