disputing innaccurate items
i had $17,000 in medical bills that were billed to me instead of my insurance i have all the documents proving i had insurance at the time and that i was covered and both original creditors said they would do as i requested and bill my insurance obviously they did not for some reason. next thing i know im getting sent bills from collection agencies for 3 out of the 6 invoices over a year later thinking it was billed to my insurance. i found out there was 6 when i sign up for credit karma then saw 3 more which were all from the same visit where i was in the hospital for over a week. i never even received bills from both hospitals i was at. so i reached out to lexington law for a consultation and they said i had a great case so i had enough info from them and read a bunch about this type of thing and did a cover letter and made copies of all my proof of insurance paper work and a few other documents transunion told me to send, and im disputing it all on my own. does this sound like a legit dispute? i have never done this before.
