disputed a line on my credit report and don't understand the outcome.
I recently disputed a negative on my credit report and the dispute came back with this response  previously in dispute - investigation complete, reported by data furnisher
Does anyone know what this means

It means they are blowing you off.  Write more letters and tell them you need proof that the account is yours, and send a letter to the data furnisher (the creditor) as well.  Keep writing letters until you get the response you want or the item is deleted.  It takes many attempts but keep at it.  Best of luck!
