Send a letter with all of your information as well as a copy of the report if you can to the company that pulled your credit. Make sure to send it via certified mail so you know they received it. Tell them you want it removed. Most will respond and let you know they are doing so, so make sure to leave your contact information. Others will claim they had authorization so if they do then ask them to provide proof that they had authorization. If they cannot do so they must remove the inquiry. Again, be sure to send every communication via certified mail. Equifax will also let you dispute inquiries online but only Equifax will I believe.
