difference in credit karma score between my actual score.
My Trans Union credit score on credit karma is a 700, but when I got my actual transunion credit report, it was a 556. How can the scores be that far off?

There is no one "absolute" credit score, as is revealed in the articles on this site.  Each company,  bank,

or credit bureau uses a .different matrix in calculating a credit score.

Look at what scoring model each scores based on. Scores aren't usualy based on same models from different sits, and can be wildly different. There is no actual/real scores, only the relevant one is the one any particular lender use to make their lending decisions. However, even same lender might wish to use different score model for different credit products they offer.
