Debt removed by one creditor, opened by another?
I recently had a collections account removed from my credit report -my scores went up and everything was great. However, that same collection amount was just opened by a new collection agency. The old account was six years old which is why I believed it originally was closed. Now I'm wondering if it was closed because they sold it to another collection agency? Will this fall off in another year once I've hit the 7 year mark?
