The removal date for collections from your credit report dose NOT change for any reason, paid or not, contact them or not, it's 7 years plus 180 days from the Date Of First Delinquency and it dose NOT go by any other dates. What might restart is the Statute Of Limitations of being sued, when and if you made a firm agreement with debt owner to pay that debt and you fail to follow thru on the term agreed upon, as it can be consider a brand new contract.
