Date of 1st Delinquency wrong?
I have a old Penn Foster bill that is laying around on only one of my credit reports. It completely disappeared off the others. I got my annual report today and come to find out, the date of delinquency is off? The collections agency is reporting the First Day of Delinquency as 04/2011, when I know it was more like early in 2008. I defaulted on it before I started school a whole year later. What do I do about this? It should be slated to fall off in another 1-2 years, not 5-6. And I just received in the mail from them a collections letter and I haven't heard anything from them in years. Did they purposely move the date? I plan on paying them off and hopefully getting a Pay for Delete agreement... But if not, what can I do to get the date changed so it falls off sooner? Thanks!
