Creditor Not Reporting a Zero Balance After Bankruptcy
I have a creditor still reporting a balance on two of the three credit reporting agencies. The debt was from an unsecure loan and discharged upon completion of a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. I realize they have the right to report the loan and the history, but the creditor is also legally required to report a zero balance and they aren't. I have sent the court documents to Equifax twice and showing the creditor as an unsecured in the list of creditors and the Order Discharing Debt after completion. I suppose the next step is to get an attorney. I have been harmed by this inaccurate information. Any suggestions?
