Different scoring models... Even those scores you got from credit bureaus? Might very well be different when you apply for car loan and mortgage. There are many many different scoring models out there.

Because credit carma is a fraud and they want people to think they have a better score so you'll apply for their credit card offers.

Because they want you to apply for their credit cards.  Them advertising is how they make their money.
