Credit report states debt from 5 years ago that is no longer valid. How do I change this?
Report states that my total debt is $160,088 from a foreclosure that the bank ended up forgiving. How do I get the amount back down to $0

If you can produce the actual letter from the bank stating that your forelosure has been forgiven, then you can send that letter as proof to the credit bureaus asking them to remove the item from your credit file. Otherwise collections remain on your credit report for 7 years. Judgments lasts for 10.
