Credit card usage - Positive or Negative?
I have a credit card that I recently paid off - it had a large balance. Now it sits open, but unused.

Is it recommended that I actually use this card (sparingly), to improve my credit score? Does it really effect anything positive or negative if it remains unused but open?

I know that closing cards can be detrimental because it raises your debt ratio (deducting from total balances), but this part always confuses me.

Thanks for your help.
