Collections company said my account should no longer be reporting. What does this mean?
I called to get pay off information on an old collections account. The collector said his system showed my account is no longer reporting. He would not explain to me what this meant, he said he wasn't sure. However, he told me he had 20 years experience in collections. I don't know what to make of this. As soon as he told me this, I could tell he felt like he made a mistake. Can anyone tell me what his comment means to me?
