Collections Agency closed down, about to send a dispute letter.
I have a debt on my credit reports. It is not my account, but the original creditor told me they have no records of it and that their collections agency would. Well now I come to find out that they are out of business as of early last year! I am about to send a dispute letter to the 3 credit reporting agencies, but I need to know the best way to word it. Do I just say that I dispute the account completely and say it is not mine? Advice please!
