Collection notice, wrong last name
I received a collection notice sent to my address, same first name, however different last name that has never been affiliated with me. This is for a cable bill that is not mine. Can this go in my credit report if the last name is completely different?

Just mark the bill as "addressee unknown" and drop it back in the mail, unless you opened it.  If so, watch for it, since it likely will show up again, and you can mark it and return it.  It shouldn't go on your credit record, which you should keep track of annually.  If you aren't already doing so, go to freeannualreport.com and get all 3 credit reports.  Check them to make sure everything is correct and file disputes with the credit bureaus reporting them.  They then have to investigate and either verify or delete the errors.
