Collection dropping off
According to TU I have an account in collections that is set to fall off in May of this year. Is there any advantage or disadvantage to just paying it off? The balance is only $165 and there is nothing to dispute on there. If I remember correctly, it's going to stay on there until it's scheduled to fall off, even if paid . Any impact to credit score if paid off vs falling off?

Hey jumur24, You had to deal with seeing that bad mark on your credit report for over 6 years. Waiting a few more months will not hurt. I bet that collection company didn't offer you a deal 6 years ago to delete it or change your status to pays as agrees did they? Wait and let it fall off! I hope this helps!
