collection agency response
I have disputed a letter received from a collection agency. They responded but only with printouts of what they have in their computer, not legal documents showing that I owe this debt. I am looking for a sample letter to respond to them that they have not shown proof and need to cease and desist collection actions immediately. Anyone know where I can get a copy/sample letter to send them?

Thanks for your response.  Your information was way to detailed for the question I was asking.  When I sent the dispute letter to the collection agency all they sent me back was printouts from their computer system. This, in no way, shows that i am legally responsible for this debt. Also, this has not been reported on my credit report(s) yet and that is what I am trying to avoid.

Just looking for a sample letter that says something like  "you did not send back legally binding documents showing that I am responsible for this debt"
