Hang on to the card.  There is nolonger a Sears store here but I do have a card and will keep it.  The credit limit you have on that  card adds to the total limit you have and that improves your score.  Just lock the card up in a safe place. Sears may later close the card due to inactivity,  but don't YOU close it because that will hurt your score.
