Closing Credit Cards
I recently switched credit unions and since I was switching, I had to close a credit card I had with the old credit union, since they required a savings account in order to have the card. Once I closed this card, my score dropped 31 points!!! I was SHOCKED to say the least. I was totally unprepared for this. Since I am trying to increase my score to obtain an FHA loan, this was a huge blow. Can I expect to this to raise any time soon? What can be done to help get it better in say 3-6 months?
