Closing credit account myself vs card company because too much credit
My oldest credit card also has 33.45% APR. I received a letter from the card issuer saying they would close the account if I accepted credit offers elsewhere, as I would have too much credit. Is it better for me to voluntarily close this acct.(currently 0 balance) than to have the credit card company do it? I did recently accept an offer for a card with 9.9% APR
