YES!! And it's bad!!!

Your credit score depends on several factors and one of these is how much credit you have been authorized to have.  When you have credit, it is like having a continually available cash drawer you can draw from, and you have to repay.  Creditors who grant credit are trusting you to use the money carefully and repay it as agreed.  When you close an account, you don't have whatever the credit limit was on that account. And it's not easy to get that credit back.
