Closed Account. Will it go away if paid?
I have three "closed" accounts and am looking to build credit. Are they just like open accounts that if I make agreement of pay to remove, the same will happen to my closed accounts?

Closed accounts will remain on your record for about 10 years. They should no longer affect your credit score unless there were negative remarks about them. Although, closing credit card accounts can have a negative effect itself. This is because your total credit limit is lower, causing your usage percentage to be higher. Also, if these were old accounts, it decreases the average age of your accounts.
