Child support arrears on credit.
I don't have a lot of knowledge in credit issues so sorry if this is a easy answer that I just don't know. My Childs mother applied for child support. 7 months later we went to court and I was ordered to being support and they back dated it the month she applied. Instantly put me a few thousand behind in child supprt. I was unemployed at the time and missed 6 months of Payments. Of course this is on my credit report ( not saying it shouldn't be). For the last year I have paid on time + plus extra to help pay off the arrears. My report only reflects the missed payments. Are they required to report that I am now making payments on time, or only that I was delinquent? Thanks for any help.
