Charged off account
I received a 1099R for a charged of credit card, I set up an account with a debt solution program where you pay a fixed amt per month and they negotiate a settlement/reduced payoff for you. I've been with them for about 2yrs and nothing has been settled and I got the 1099R for taxes (charged off card). Do I still need to pay them or just chalk it up as a strike on my credit? I also have a Discover Card that took me to the magistrate and they never showed up or re-filed for payment, I won my case and heard nothing more do I still pay this one? Please help as to what I need to do since the settlement company keeps telling me they are working on it. Thanks
