Cc went into collection in 2011 and was sold
The debt was just sold again this started a new date when will it come off my report I live in Ca.

It goes by the Date Of First Delinquency, not any other dates and the reportable period dose not restart regardless if you paid it or not or when you paid it, if you contacted them or not. The reportable length for collections 7 1/2 years from DOFD, Credit Bureaus would routinely remove them in 7 years.

Look up Statute of Limitations on collections and see what it is for your state, since it varies.  If the SOL has expired, the debt is uncollectable even though it will show [on your credit report for 7 years past date of first delinquency.
