Keep in mind that most lenders will use a version of FICO scores, usually an auto version for auto loans. If you are considering going to a small credit union, it would be doubtful that they would approve you, but a larger credit union may. If you are credit challenged you should go to a dealership that advertises to finance all situations, it would cost more but the chances of approval are better. Keep in mind that in addition to credit scores, the following will go into a lender's decision: your overall credit profile, previous auto loan history, income, debt to income ratio, lenght of time at current employer, year and mileage of auto to be financed, amount of your down payment, etc.
