Can I buy a house with a 625 credit score and a VA Loan?
I am prior service military and qualify for a VA loan that I have never used. I am currently rebuilding my credit and have gotten it from 580 to 626 right now (all though my FICO says it's 658) Anyways I have 7 delinquent accounts and have settled on 3 of them today and will probably be able to settle on most of the rest of them with in the next few months, I have a few credit cards and I pay them on time and keeping the balances low everything looks like its headed in the right direction. Here is my question I would like to buy a house with in a year, is this possible for me with a VA Loan and 0 down and what other steps can I take to increase my credit score fast? Thanks.
