That depends on your

credit profile.  The inquiry will drop your score anywhere from 3 to 10 points depending on what else is in your report.  If you have been denied more than once it will have a harsher effect. If its your only denial your score should rebound rather quickly.  I do suggest that you do not apply for any new lines of credit, if you have been denied, for at least 6 months.  

In that time you should work to rectify what ever it was on your report that caused the denial.
