Building Credit up to obtain auto loan by Jan/Feb 2016
I went to get an suv about 2 years ago at an auto dealer. I did not qualify for an suv at the time but did qualify for a car. I declined. I recieved a capital one approval letter in the mail and returned in which I didnt get approved for the vehicle i wanted but for others so again I declined. Long story short I have 19 credit inquiries from these trips. That being said the last of them falls off Jan 2016. I would like to build my credit so I can get an suv. I have one care with a 30/60 day late payment because we thought the account was paid off and closed but actually wasnt. I also have one collection out but plan to pay with the stipulation they remove it in good standing (this has worked for a friend). This has put my below 600. Will maintaining 20% utilization and allowing credit inquiries to fall off allow me to get an auto loan in Feb next year?
