First off, we can't see your financial data, and that is good because this is a public forum.  Second, bankruptcy is not a "fresh start" unless yoiu consider having to rebuild credit from the very beginning after ten years of virtually no credit  a fresh start.  I don't.  Third, some debts you may have such as student loans are not dischargable in bankruptcy.

Instead, I suggest you search for Dave Ramsey's site and learn how you may be able to pay your debts.  If you still feel bankruptcy may be needed, then consult with a bankruptcy attorney and listen to what they tell you because they have ideas that may also help you avoid bankruptcy, which is something smart people really want to do.
