bankruptcy, before the wedding or after
My fiance has acquired a sizeable amount of debt over the last 7 yrs from unfortunate medical expenses. Bout $200,00.00 roughly, I also have debt from medical issues but not nearly as much as my future wife, Bout $3,000.00. Should we file jointly or separate.

How about,  Hold off on the wedding and each of you pay off the debt.   Then get married. 

Not sure if her debt is 200K  or 20K.

3k is not a reason for bankruptcy.
